Médiathèque Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov
The spiritual Master Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov was born in Bulgaria in 1900. He was a disciple of Master Peter Deunov (Beinsa Douno), the greatest spiritual figure of modern Bulgaria. In 1937, at his request,he went to France where he lived and taught for almost half a century, until his death in 1986.
During his first stay in India, Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov was recognized by a famous Hindu yogi as the reincarnation of a solar sage from Vedic times. In fact the sun – in its invisible aspect – plays a very significant role in his teaching, a teaching which he defined as a form of solar yoga. “There is no work more precious, more powerful and more glorious,” he explained, “than this work with light and on light.”
Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov is in the lineage of great philosophers and spiritual guides of humanity. The themes of the teaching that he transmitted in his lectures have always existed; they have been revealed by all the great Masters. These same truths that he presented in turn, he explained in a new, vibrant way, adapted to our times. While guiding his listeners toward self-transformation, he projected ideas and forces capable of transforming all of humanity.
His talks are full of simple, accessible and extremely effective methods. Their constant themes are light, love, purity, fraternity, the expansion of consciousness, the power of thought, working on oneself, the relationship of humans with nature, as well as other subjects likely to stimulate spiritual evolution.
All his teachings, from 1938 onwards, demonstrate an impressive vision of the future. Over the years, he has addressed many subjects that are close to our hearts today, long before they became topical: respect for Nature and conscious exchanges with its elements, the influence of the mother on the child she carries, conscious nutrition and alternative fasting, the healing effect of laughter and spiritual work with light.
During his lifetime he gave nearly 5000 lectures. The lectures are published in books by Editions Prosveta SA and have been translated into more than 35 languages. To date, more than 7 million of his books have been sold worldwide.
